James Varrone - Bequests
James Varrone worked at Pike View Coal Mine and at Peak Steel. He attended Corpus Christi School in the late 1920s and that school remained very dear to him throughout his entire life. He remembered Corpus Christi School in his will: at the end of his life, Corpus Christi School received a gift from his estate. At Mr.Varrone's request, that sum was endowed through the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of Colorado Springs. Today, the earnings from that endowment provide tuition at Corpus Christi for two elementary students each year!
James Varrone was a humble mana coal mine worker and welderwho left a lasting gift that greatly enhances the lives of many children. His example demonstrates that virtually everyone can leave a legacy gift and be a witness for Christ long after their time on Earth has passed. Share in Mr. Varrone's passion for Catholic education by providing for our Catholic Schools in your estate plan or by making a gift to the James V. Varrone fund.
